LIGO EPO call on Art-Science collaboration

schermata LIGO

Yesterday I was so exited to partecipate in the EPO Monday's call of LIGO that focused "on Art-Science collaborations, and in particular the work of our guest Luca Serasini."

By the text of the invitation e-mail:
"Luca got in touch with me in late June, through a mutual contact Mike Simmons (founder and former leader of Astronomers Without Borders). Luca is an Italian artist who has been creating land and sound art installations for about 10 years as part of a "Project Constellation" - the latest phase of which is known as "Frange d'Interferenza": or "Inteference Fringes" and is being created in the fields of Cascina, against the backdrop of the Virgo site. You can read much more about Luca's project on this blog page: http://www.lucaserasini.it/progettocostellazioni/index.php/the-project. In our telecon we hope to learn more about Luca's project. Our telecon will also be a chance to share with Luca some of the other art-science collaborations that have been created by, or in collaboration with, LVK scientists - as highlighted in our most recent LIGO magazine, for example - and to revisit and brainstorm ideas for future projects."

Thanks very much Martin for this opportunity.
