Land art is an artistic movement characterized by the realization of installations in wild places of nature for a different and new relationship between art and life. In this workshop I want to bring the participants to realize some installations using natural materials and linking them to the theme of the stars, constellations and universe, in affinity with my Progetto Costellazioni project.
We'll talk about legends, we will visit a small Observatory, we will work in a fallow
field or under the olive trees to realise our personal or group installations, finally we will take part in a collective effort to realize a small constellation that we will enlighten at night, all immersed in the beautiful Tuscan hills, near Volterra, near the sea, and a little further away, San Gimignano and Siena.
You bring your ideas and the desire to experiment but mostly to feel good, I'll take the materials and lights to light up the stars, because the light is the source of life and synonymous with energy.
Is basin of wealth, and what drives the traveller in the night ...
But we still need the stars?

About Querceto
Surrounded by olive groves and oak forests, this ancient village is nestled on top of a hill. The view is gorgeous. At the heart of the village the Castle, around which the houses are almost a protective wall. The Church of the village, from the tiny Alabaster Windows and some houses were built around the 12th century. The Castle and the rest of the village are dated around the first of 700. Oak Grove still preserves its identity and authenticity of the ancient village. In this context of serenity and freshness the Accademia Libera Natura e Cultura (MARCO POLO association foundation) offers a varied and interesting cultural programme. In the Centre of the village a small restaurant, a bar association and an enoteca will offer regional dishes and typical Tuscan environment.

About Luca Serasini
Two complementary forces drive Serasini: the writer and scientist, two faces of the same creative universe. In the planning stage of the work, there is the minutia of the technician, the obsession for detail, and the need – almost instictive - to discover hidden mechanisms. At the same time, we can perceive the designer's delicate hand; his language becomes minimal, and breathes everything in the images, the light, the sound and the tissues that create his installations. These, whereas designed in a field, or facing the entrance of a museum, offer surprises to those who decide to stop and observe them, and thus follow their guidance.
Progetto Costellazioni is part of the research work undertaken by Serasini in recent years, and establishes a dialogue with the artist's previous works such as: Costellazione Toro (2013), Orion, the great hunter, made during an artist residency at MateriaPrima in Ceppaiano (2015), and Alcor & Mizar at Art in the Woods, Holmfirth Arts Festival (UK, Yorkshire, 2016), Große Wagen in Waimar (GE, 2017) and the Kháos of Cosmos at Gazelli Art House in London (2017) The artist began his artistic career in the 90s: his interdisciplinary practice includes drawing, painting, short and medium-length film, collage serial photo and video art installation. In his work, the classical myth plays a significant role, as well as his training in electronics. After the solo show "Prevalentemente Rosso" in Querceto in 2009, in the same year he presents "In dettaglio" at Irena Kos Arte Contemporanea art gallery in Pietrasanta, and in 2011 he participates to the group exhib "Contaminazioni" in Pontedera. In March 2012 has solo show "la dinamica dietro l’idea" in Pisa, at the Exhibition Space Sopra Le Logge, and in 2013 "Mi-no-Tauro?" At the IED headquarters in Florence. in summer 2017 the makes Alfa-tauri axbit and site specific installation ofr Artinsolite group exhib in Lajatico, close to Teatro del Silenzio.
