Within the Giardino Forest Complex, the Paesaggi Cosmici land art installation path (Cosmic Landscapes) aims to depict the different stages of the Universe’s development, from the moments before the Big Bang, to the formation of galaxies, to the arrangement of stars in what we now know as constellations, up to the loss of interest in the myths and legends that once made the night sky a living and present element for humankind.

SOUNDSCAPES
Each installation will be accompanied by a panel with a description in two different languages and a QR-Code that will direct visitors, via their smartphones, to the sounds of Ricci Del Mastro for a listening experience that transports them into a magical atmosphere. With the soundscapes created by Marco Ricci del Mastro, visitors enter both a physical and virtual space: a series of tracks with a total duration of 36 minutes, based on electronic and piano sounds, will be offered; this is a musical meditation that allows the listener to detach from the necessities of reality and encourages a silent visit. Indeed, the installation intends to include the silent and reflective visitors around the artistic space. The proposed tracks are an invitation to suspend the background noises of earthly life, like when a solitary observer immerses themselves in the night sky. This is the atmosphere proposed. A container with 15 wired headphones/earphones will be installed for connecting to the visitor’s smartphone, so that the sound environment can be experienced within the overall atmosphere of the artwork.

MATERIALS
Due to the location in a natural environment, the elements will be primarily constructed from wood, possibly using recycled material, but not exclusively. Some installations will include LED lighting for illumination.

THE INSTALLATION’S PATH
The path starts from the first wild boar capture enclosure and winds up through the forest to end at the second capture enclosure. The installations, are/will be as follows:

5. Saint George’s dragon
